The Farm Labor Organizing Committee (FLOC) is asking supporters to join them this weekend for actions at Kangaroo stores in Raleigh and Chapel Hill. For more than 5 years, the union has been urging Reynolds American tobacco to negotiate with the exploited farm workers who make their immense profits. Kangaroo makes nearly a third of their money from tobacco sales. Contact Justin Flores of FLOC at jflores@floc.com or (704) 577-3480 for more information.

Raleigh Event: Saturday, December 8th at Noon. The Kangaroo is located at 3289 Avent Ferry Rd. (near the corner of Avent Ferry and Gorman, off exit 295)

Chapel Hill Event: Sunday, December 9th at 12:30 p.m. The Kangaroo is located at the corner of Franklin and Estes in (1501 E. Franklin St.). Note: The gas station now has a “Marathon” sign in front, but is still owned by Kangaroo.
